A ceiling range hood extracts cooking vapors, strong odors, and grease particles while you cook. Mounted in or on the ceiling above the hob, it saves considerable space in the kitchen. Additionally, our ceiling range hoods are exceptionally quiet, ensuring you won't miss conversations at the table while you are still cooking. Before purchasing a ceiling unit, it's important to determine the type of extraction system, dimensions, and desired design. Discover which ceiling range hood best fits your kitchen here.

Key considerations for choosing a ceiling range hood
When purchasing your ceiling range hood, it's important to consider several factors: size, type of extraction, installation options, and motor.
Size
For optimal performance, the range hood should cover the full width of your hob. Novy ceiling range hoods are available in the following sizes: 90 cm, 110 cm, 120 cm, and 150 cm. Ensure that the cooker hood you choose is at least as large as your hob.
Type of extraction
Consider whether you need external venting or recirculation. If external venting isn't possible in your home, recirculation is a good option. Recirculation hoods filter the air and return it to the kitchen, removing grease particles and odors. External venting hoods expel cooking vapors, odors, and grease particles outside through a duct.
Installation options
Novy ceiling range hoods offer various installation possibilities. The Novy Pureline can be installed flush with the ceiling or in a niche or custom-built hood. The Novy Cloud can be mounted directly on the ceiling. Always consider the maximum installation height and the distance between the cooktop and the hood, which should not exceed 160 cm.
Motor options
The motor choice affects the installation of the range hood:
- Novy Cloud: comes with standard recirculation, requiring only ceiling mounting
- Ceiling hoods without a motor: combine with an internal motor, wall motor, or flat roof motor
- Compact motor: has an installation height of 19.5 cm and flexible exhaust placement
- Cubic motor: a versatile motor that can be rotated and installed remotely, connected to the hood with a provided cable

How to control a ceiling range hood
Ceiling range hoods, installed high or directly on the ceiling, can't be controlled with buttons on the device itself. Instead, they can be operated with a remote control. Some models can also be controlled with the Novy Connect App on your smartphone or tablet. If you have a Novy induction cooktop, you can control the range hood using the InTouch function on the cooktop.
